after a few nights at the resort we moved onto stone town and endured incredible, sweltering heat. we checked out this city, which used to be a slavery hub, and on our last night together, hit the streets for dinner at food stalls (almost like a fair) followed by a visit to the shisha lounge at our beautiful hotel, Zanzibar Serena Inn. Mango hookah, moonlit ocean with waves crashing and great friends - we're lucky people.

blue bay and stone town
the next few days were much less active than the safari. we stayed at blue bay resort (which actually was the most shit service ever) and just chilled by the pool and people watched what few people were there, most of which were stranded due to the iceland volcano. the indian ocean was incredibly warm and the sand was super soft but will was bored by it - and the resort in general.
