we drove the cape peninsula from cape town to hout bay, where i got shat on on my head!!! by a bird....then took w windy cliff road to chapman's peak. we made a pit stop at the long beach [strip] mall (the video game store also sold lethermans....and woolworths is very popular in SA, so there was definitely one there) for a bathroom and snack break.
we contined on down th west coast of the peninsula through scarborough and entered the national park to cape point, then the cape of good hope (apparently two different points).
guess our luck didn't end with the safari - as we saw the endangered bontebok, pictured below on the left; then one on the right is SJP. just kidding, it's a red hartebeest.

we continued to boulders to visit the african penguins...
then had lunch at cape to cuba in kalk bay (a lil fishing village)- i had a surprisingly delicious gingerbread martini and their chili (jalepeno) poppers & boullibaise were the best ever! we then headed on to muizenberg's colorful beach houses but unfortunately the weather was shit...so we hit up groot constantia, our first vineyard, before it closed. great day!
