holland - part 2: cheese

perfect afternoon in amsterdam:

lunch at Café van Zuylen.  great split pee soup, erwtensoep.

all visits to amsterdam should include a stop at the Reypenar Tasting Room.  we did the Connoisseur Tasting - 1 hour, 6 cheeses, 2 glasses of wine and 1 glass of port.  

and right across the street is the best choclate in amsterdam, Puccini Bomboni, where we grabbed funky bonbons like coffee, ginger, apple something, contreau, rum something, and fig marzipan.  i also grabbed a box of chocolate-covered dried mangos.  yum.
