as it was approaching lunchtime, we decided to leave the zoo so that we'd have enough time to see the rest of the city....big mistake. there is nothing else in this city. it wasn't raining, thank god, but the dense fog made it difficult to site see. we went to euromast, a huge tower from which one should be able to see the entire beauty that is amsterdam out the 360 windows...and we got this:
we were stuck in a cloud
then we headed out to check out kubuswoningen, or cube houses, the eramus bridge and the white house. i only got pictures of the cube houses because i had to run and move the car before getting a ticket for being illegally parked.
then...there was nothing else to see. we regretted leaving the zoo early. the gps took us through the ghetto and we headed back to amsterdam. where we proceeded to eat and drink too much.
